supplies and services for the dairy industry, plus... Poultry Plus
offers hardware and maintenance products for homes, farms, and
businesses. Sam and Gayle Gearner, along with their family, opened Poultry Plus at 1009 East Coke Road in 1999. In just ten short years, Poultry Plus has grown to 24 employees and has expanded to building chicken houses, new construction as well as retrofits. The Gearner's credit the business' growth to the full line of poultry and dairy supplies and services, a broad range of farm, ranch, and home hardware supplies, a knowledgeable and helpful staff, and a friendly East Texas atmosphere. Poultry Plus began as a poultry equipment and service company, which the Gearner's operated from their own ranch and poultry operation. The expanded business now includes products and installation services for the dairy industry. The Coke Road facility has been expanded to accommodate the additional services. The poultry and dairy services are backed by a well-stocked hardware facility which has everything needed by local farmers, ranchers, and homeowners at competitive prices. Sam and Gayle are actively involved in their community. They received the Agriculture Award at the Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet 2002 and Gayle is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She was awarded the title of Woman of the Year at the Chamber Banquet 2004. In 2005 Poultry Plus won the distinguished award for Business of the year.
